If love exists, it must be an evolved phenomenon. If you think about it, love and fear are both whole-body responses to the global circumstances we are aware of. They are the poles of emotional existence, and they are simply attraction and repulsion. This is why it makes sense to believe that all organisms feel and participate in love.
